Only homemade remedies please. The skin around my finger nails are very hard and torn. How can i regrow that skin/make it soft.?
You'll need 2 bowls, one slightly bigger than the other. In the smaller bowl fill it with enough olive oil just to cover your nails and in the second bowl fill with a little boiling water, but not so much it will spill because you'll now need to put the smaller bowl inside the large bowl... got me?
Soak your nails in the oil for about 5-10mins. Take out and pat dry on a clean toil. Now start to massage the skin around you nails, working the oil in. This will be great for replenishing moisture to the skin. If they're extremely bad then do this for three days a week until they're back to normal, otherwise once a week is fine.
To maintain healthy skin %26amp; nails just use a rich lotion with aloe vera twice a day. Once after you shower and once before bed.
Voila! Nice smooth skin!
Oh and do not pick at the skin, whatever you do!The skin around my finger nails are very hard and torn. How can i regrow that skin/make it soft.?
Your skin is always growing. It replaces itself every 2 weeks or so. Now your skin may be a bit weak but even so it is generally physical hardship that causes the skin around the nails to be hard and come off in those strips. Try to use an appropriate type of glove for your activities. These can seem cumbersome at first but once you are used to them they can allow you to work even better as they are tougher than your hands. You should also use a nice rich hand %26amp; nail cream to help the skin restore the balances of it biochemistry. If you have a favourite brand they may have one. An organic product from Sanctum, Hand %26amp; Nail Repair Cream is excellent for me.
Always use a heavy cream like Nivea cold cream, on your hands and specially finger nails, to make it soft. Before bathing, massage your hands and finger with some vegetable oil, while massaging, push back ur cuticles ie. ur skin around ur finger nails. In this way massage ur fingers. your problems will be cured soon.
Do not bite your nails.make them grow a little longer so that they cover the skin. Use warm water to soak your fingers. Use glycerine/oliveoil/coconut oil.
Try applying Vaseline or warm coconut oil regularly. It may work!
