What are the white patches in my nails?

Ive had white patches in my fingernails for as long as I can remember. What are they? Ive heard its lack of calcium but it cant be! I have milk with my cerial every morning, i eat yoghurts and i LOVE cheese!What are the white patches in my nails?

White spots are a sign of a lack of zinc. Eat a banana.
the white patches is where you have damaged the underside of the nail by banging the nail into something.
I think its lack of zinc in your diet . But have also read that it can be just damage to your nail.

Eat more protein foods.
