Caring for your nails

Don't abuse your nails. To prevent nail damage, don't use your fingernails as tools to pick, poke or pry things.

Don't bite your nails or pick at your cuticles. These habits can damage the nail bed. Even a minor cut alongside your nail can allow bacteria or fungi to enter.

And cause and infection (Paronychia). Because your nails grow slowly. and injured nail retains signs of and injury for several months.

Protect your nails wear cotton - lined rubber gloves when using soap %26amp; water for prolonged periods or when using harsh chemicals.

Perform routine nail maintenance. Trim fingernails and clean under the nails regularly. Use a sharp manicure Scissors. Or clippers and emery board to smooth nail edges.

Never pull off hangnails doing almost always results in ripping tissue. Instead clip hangnails off, leaving a slight angle outward.

Moisture your nails frequently. Nails need moisture just like your skin does. Rub lotion into the nails when moisturizing your hands. Be sure to apply a moisture each time you wash your hands.

weak or brittle nails can be a challenge to toughen up.

Keep your nails short, square shape and slightly rounded on top. Trim brittle nails after a bath or 15 - mintues and soak - in bath oil then apply moisture.

Moisturize your nails and cuticles at bed time and cover them with cotton gloves.

Apply a nail hardner, but avoid products containing tolunene sulfonamide or formaldehyde. These chemicals can cause redness or irritate the skin.

Don't use nail polish remover more than twice a month, instead, touch up the polish. When you do need a remover, avoid those that use acetone which dries nails.

Try to drink milk and eat calcium suppliments....Calcium also keeps your bones fit....Once in a while if you do pedicure it helps you to get strong and healthy nails....
Your nails tell you alot about your general health. For strong nails eat gelatin foods and try vitamins. Prenatal if you can get some over the counter.
You will get your nails to grow stronger when your vitamins intake reach the top so, eat a balance meal and take some vitamins supplements, do not use chemicals without gloves and if possible when you're cooking rub some of the smelly garlic into your nails, this work , good luck.
Don't go and get fake ones on. They make your nails the same way you say they are now.
I know it sounds stupid , but every day you put your nails into the water it will make them stronger. And try not to color nails for about month. I hope it works.
its kinda gross but you can smash garlic and put it into rubber gloves and stick your hands in it. its better over night. remember to wash your hands after though. but it works trust me.
Milk drink lots of milk. It works
ther is a ?????(brio) for nails *0*
You can try a calcium suppliment. It takes awhile for the results to show but it can be worth it.
